It is impossible to overstate the importance of this choice, to keep the “cost” of the BBB lower by opting to make the duration shorter. It just might work if Team Blu continues to embrace Marxism and fails to find any sort of national message for the broad middle of America. For Team Red all the chips are on outgrowing the massive debt burden they have assumed. Something like 3 percent GDP growth would tread water, 4 percent would make a real dent. This is America as a growth stock, betting that top line revenue growth can out pace big spending on entitlements and defense. A real drag will be the pointless New Green Scam subsidies that were not zeroed out. Billions will be wasted. My entire adult life has been marked by Republicans falling for costly “energy” subsidies, starting with the original ethanol scams. Dollars directed to them will be by definition anti-growth misallocation.

If you were surprised by the Diddy verdict you were just not paying attention to the facts of the matter. DOJ proved that Diddy was a first class asshole but did little to nothing to show he ran a conspiracy to traffick humans against their will. I firmly believe DOJ never expected to go to trial, that overcharging Diddy would compel him to plead out — a standard DOJ intimidation move. Instead the jury ignored the overcharges and went with the straight forward prostitution charges. Just like Jeffrey Epstein’s plea deal.
