And the very Blackest of Fridays is upon us. Another young woman’s life brutally taken by a man who had no business walking our streets. The narrative shaping is already advanced on the shooter, that he went crazy, that his CIA-backed ops left him with trauma, that there was a failure of vetting:
For reasons that still aren’t clear, Lakanwal allegedly decided to go on a cross-country trek and carry out what officials described as a “targeted” shooting rampage in Washington, DC, just blocks away from the White House.
We are not quite to the “we may never know” stage but you can feel it coming. The entire vetting question seems like a distraction. First, if you cannot trust someone who ran with CIA operators and Special Forces in a war zone not to murder American soldiers in the Nation’s Capitol what is the point? Indeed some Afghan vets have noted that “vetting” is yet another Western conceit that America confidently and foolishly assumed it could impose on a pre-modern, tribal society. “You can’t vet a society where identity itself isn’t recorded,” one noted. Ah, yes identity. This brings us to the fiction that the shooter was 29 years old. Much more likely he (or his sponsor) rolled his age back upon his entry in 2021 to qualify for some NGO “student” assistance program. As for the “cuckoo” frame, crazy people do not plan and execute cross-country hit jobs with precision. How about this instead. He was about to lose whatever sponsorship subsidy he was still receiving and would have to find real work instead of occasionally driving for Amazon Flex. That’s motive. We know his Washington state apartment had been arranged by the bleeding-heart evangelicals at World Relief; the same org that freaked out last week when the Trump administration announced it would conduct a do-over of the Biden era the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. Did the shooter resent and fear a possible new interview on his status? We may never know. Especially if he “falls” out a window or something.
Like I said, too many holes in the “vetting failure” frame for me, but still some good info.
Some interesting takes on the real cost of living but always remember childcare costs are a function of choosing to be a dual-income household.
I think about this a lot.
Trump 2.0 is seriously over-selling this “peace plan” while the lying globalists feign shock, surprise UKR would have to give up land. This has been a fait accompli since like two weeks into the war. Putin just grinds on.
