Ah, yeah. The College Football Playoff now enters thread the needle time. If Georgia Tech (coming off a bye) and Oregon hammer Pitt and Southern Cal at home, respectively, Notre Dame is in serious trouble. Pitt and USC are their only quality wins; objectively they would not be a top 12 team if both opponents lay eggs. Yet. Who takes their place? Some say Miami, but I do not see any universe in which the ACC gets more than one bid. Besides the Canes total resume rides on beating ND, which leads us right back to the Irish have zero quality wins. Good times.
Absolute no one in Charlotte could be surprised. This massive illegal presence was known since the 1990s, when there was a comical disconnect between CMPD and ALE (Alcohol Law Enforcement.) CMPD was leaning on jammed up Latino kitchen staff for info on the black tar heroin trade in South Charlotte (I could name joints but don’t feel like being sued) while ALE was looking to arrest all staff unless they dropped dimes on “over served” patrons. There was a weekly quota ALE expected. Now, 21,000 CMS students have disappeared. Great job Uptown Crowd.
